The scientists have figured out what food products can protect from heart disease

Heart disease is a prevailing cause of death in the United States. The statistic is very sad because 610,000 of people die of these illnesses. More than 50% of them are men. Due to these frightening figures, the studies on the ways of heart disease prevention never stop.

The Guardian has published the results of the studies conducted by the scientists of MacMaster University, Canada. According to their research, moderate consumption of dairy products may be beneficial for the health of the human cardiovascular system. The research process covered 135,000 people in 21 low- and middle-income countries. The period of following the study participants was 9 years.

The researchers claim that three servings of dairy products a day are useful for our pumping organ due to amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and unsaturated fats that are present in such foods. It has been proven that individuals who eat small portions of dairy products three times a day had a lower rate of heart disease and mortality.

How dairy products influence the development of coronary heart disease?

Another research held on the basis of the University of Eastern Finland has also shown that the consumption of fermented dairy has a positive impact on heart health. To such foods belong: cheese, kefir, yogurt, sour milk, and the likewise products. It has been noticed that people whose level of consumption of dairy products was higher, were 26% less likely to evolve cardiovascular health issues. However, those who ate a lot of dairy products had higher risks of coronary artery heart problems.

On the other hand, patients drinking about 1 liter of fresh milk daily can put their health under threat. So, only moderate amounts of sour dairy products may be useful for prevention of coronary artery disease and cardiovascular health issues in particular.
